West Lake Okoboji is a natural body of water, one of only 3 blue water lakes in the world, and the deepest in the Iowa Great Lakes chain. It is approximately 3,847 acres in area with a maximum depth of 136 feet and an average depth of 39 feet with 19.8 miles of shoreline. It is surrounded by most all of the towns in the lakes area. There are natural springs in the Terrace Park area on the south side which help to keep this lake a bit cleaner than the others. You will find numerous activities to do around West Lake including camping, fishing, boat and wave runner rentals, parasailing, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, lodging, 4th of July Fireworks and numerous other things. West Lake is the place to be for fun in the sun! Homes on West Lake range in price from $500,000 up to $12.8 million. You can buy on the Harbor or Wahpeton Canals for as little as $195,000 and its just a quick boat ride to West Lake.

East Lake Okoboji is also a natural body of water, approximately 1,835 acres in area, with 24 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 22 feet, its average depth is 1o feet. It is bordered by the towns of Arnolds Park, Okoboji, and Spirit Lake. There are restaurants, playgrounds, marinas, lodging, and camping on East Lake as well as great fishing! Home prices on East vary from $350,000 up to $1,275,000. Condos are available for as little as $140,000 with lake access.


Center Lake is located in Spirit Lake between East and West Okoboji and is secluded from the other lakes. This lake is a small shallow natural lake of 263 acres with a maximum depth of 17 feet and an average depth of about 12 feet. Center Lake differs from other lakes in the area as 25% of its 4.7 miles of its northwestern shoreline is undeveloped and boasts timber and wetlands.
