New businesses = area growth

Its an exciting time in the Iowa Great Lakes area.  People are starting to get their cottages open for another great season of fishing, boating, and catching up with friends and neighbors that have been gone all winter.  There are also many new businesses opening in the area and NextHome At The Lakes has helped make a couple of peoples dreams of owning their own business come true this past month.

Boji Bark Pet Resort and Doggie Day Camp was recently opened in Milford on Highway 71 across from Perkins.  The owner, Angela Ascherl is a licensed Veterinarian and they are offering upscale overnight accommodations and day camp services to your canine companions.  This is the perfect opportunity for those of you with condos that don’t allow pets so that you don’t have to leave them home when you come to Okoboji.  They also have day camp so that you can drop them off on the way to work and pick them up in the evenings so that they don’t have to be in kennels all day long!  If you have questions or to make reservations visit their website at www.bojibark.com or check out their facebook page.

Another new business in the area is The Oakwood Inn Bed and Breakfast.  Owners Bill and Bridget Johnson are not new to the hotel industry and are super excited to revive the former Wild Rose Inn and make it their own!  There are 11 suites with layouts to accommodate just about everyone.  It is located just off of Highway 71 in the Heart of Okoboji and is close to many area attractions.  They will officially be open May 20 and you can call 712-332-8057 or visit their website www.theoakwoodinnokoboji.com or their facebook page for more information.
